Furniture

In the first half of the twentieth century designers from France began to mix strict and classical tradition of Louis Seize with the great period of French interior decoration and cabinetmaking culture. In that way they have opened the door for the modern antihistorical spirit that was dominated by simplicity and geometrical clarity. Characteristic for the works from this period is the usage of exotic and rare materials such as rosewood, macassar, ivory and similar. Here you can see some examples from our collection.
